BLUE WILLOW 
play boogie-woogie blues with an original twist.

“We write about reality, real experiences,” says Lorraine Ingle who, along with Dawn DuVall, make up the songwriting team known as BLUE WILLOW.  They blend contemporary lyrics and urban high-energy with traditional blues – and play it boogie-woogie style.  BLUE WILLOW is a band to be seen and heard.

Dawn DuVall and Lorraine Ingle are the BLUE WILLOW  duo which consists of piano and vocals.  They also perform as the core of the BLUE WILLOW three to nine piece ensembles.

BLUE WILLOW have appeared in many clubs, on main stages and in many blues festivals, including the internationally respected Mariposa Folk Festival (1994), the Harbourfront Soul ‘n Blues Festival (1995),  the C.N.E. (1995), the Toronto Women’s Blues Revue (1993, 1994), the Oakville Jazz Festival (1994, 1997), the Toronto Beaches Blues Festival (1995, 1997), the Orillia Blues Festival (1997), to name a few.  In 1992,  Lorraine was one of the featured performers at the Harbourfront Soul ’n Blues Festival playing beside boogie woogie piano giant Pinetop Perkins.                               

In 1994 BLUE WILLOW appeared on The Great Canadian Blues Review compilation CD and in 1995 released their all-original debut CD Greasy Talk both on the Peerless Music Inc. label.

 They have also appeared on the television shows Breakfast Television, Gayle Ackroyd’s Songwriter’s Showcase,  Danny Mark’s Stormy Monday, and have received radio airplay from many radio stations including  CBC National Radio, Q107, CIUT and CJRT.
